HI FRIENDS! IT’S NICE TO SEE YOU IN THE NEW YEAR. If you’re an old friend or new to me, I’m so glad to have you along for this journey.

I have many new and exciting plans for 2025 that I am eager to share with you. Suffice it to say, 2025 will be focused on light, love, healing, energy, self-awareness, self-love, acceptance, and new beginnings.

Times are changing, and it can be very frightening. I am aware of my own feelings, and if I am experiencing this, then you must be as well.. Let’s go through this together.

I will be bringing back my podcast ” The Sarcastic Psychic” (it’s been a while). I will be entering the world of Instagram, Threads and Bluesky! I will add the art of Egyptian Tarot to the mix of all things energy. AND SOMETHING REALLY SPECIAL FOR 2025!. (See below) I will be updating my calendar in the next few the days, so buckle up! 60 Minute Spiritual Reading

Spiritual readings will be offered again starting in March or April after 10 years of providing education on connecting with deceased loved ones. (A little more on the “WHY” can be found below). There will be a limited number of these sessions and payment will be required in advance. It is possible to record readings and to bring someone with you to your session, but they will not be receiving a reading. At this time, readings are only available on Saturdays or Sundays, and weekdays are not available. I will conduct the readings at my home in person. REASONS FOR OFFERING SPIRITUAL READINGS

SO, Why am I providing readings after I said “NEVER AGAIN?” Here is an explanation
I provided readings for about 15 years. In the beginning, I enjoyed it and believed I made a difference. However, as time went by, my enthusiasm waned. those who know me, know I am brutally honest (my Violet Aura). I do not hold back. If you tend to be easily offended, you may want to stop reading here. If not, some bullet points to offer an explanation.
1. My grandfather always told me “NOT” to do readings as most will never appreciate it and you will be a crutch. He was right.
2. Many did not take what I do seriously. I was entertainment.
3. My whole reasoning for giving readings was to give people the proof they need that there IS an afterlife, after that I would give them the skills to do this for themselves. Sadly to say, most did not put the little effort in that is required. I do not like lazy, and that is lazy. They wanted me to do it for them. I am not talking about those that truly tried.
4. Many did not pay, refused to pay FOR MY TIME after the session. They did not come prepared, Or stated they did not know how much it would cost OR after the typical 3 -4 hour reading, they decided they did not like it. SO my time meant nothing,
5. There was no respect for my time. I would give them 3-4 hours and they would want 5-6. And expected no more of a fee for this. They would show up at my home unannounced, on a weekend, early in the AM, when I had company, at a restaurant etc. They had a need right that minute AND I was to address that need no matter time of day or what i was doing. People are RUDE. Now with that being said, I know why they do this. They are suffering a horrible loss. They want to be near anyone or anything that they perceive can help them feel better (even for a minute). My heart understands this AND there is NOBODY out there who can or will ever tell you I ignored them or did not give up my time to help them, (That’s the Blue part of my Aura). But this led to me feeling used.
6. But to tell you the truth I believe the thing that really made me want to say “enough” was that I would charge 75% less than anyone else out there for quadruple the amount of time. I would check in on people after a session, allow for as many questions as they had to help them. After their session in their emails or texts I would listen about their dreams or about Moms picture falling off the wall. Dads smell of cigarettes or sisters favorite bird sitting outside their window. I provided everyone the opporiunity to smell or feel their loved ones during my session to make them more successful without further charge. I would provide them with all the info they needed on the science of the afterlife. How everyone can do what I do. I would tell them I am not special. And how to watch for the frauds. Most thought my fee was too much. I have provided readings to people for NOTHING more times than I can count. OR given a substantial discount if someone could not afford it. But what did I find? These very same people where spending HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS to go see John Edwards, Teresa Caputo or half the other people out there. Not for a 3-4 hours session but for an hour in a room with a hundred other people hoping to be picked for a vague reading. (I am not putting down these other readers, just making a point). DO you think these people would answer their call at 3:00 am in the morning when they can’t sleep because they miss their husband, wife, son etc? Do you think they would even GIVE you their phone number? Would they check on you to see how you are doing? Answer any of your questions after the event or listen to your stories?? Do a reading for you for free or at a reduced rate to help you out? But people felt somehow what they offered was “worth more” than what I did. This has nothing to do with me expecting loyalty from people who have come to see me. Part of me thinks they should go to these big events so they can see the difference. And I cannot tell you how many people have the nerve (yes I said it) to tell me they went to a particular event or went to see a medium who charged 3 times what I did but they didn’t either get what they hoped for or they got vague info and wanted ME to help them understand it. SO I would say “NO, why did you not ask them” they would say, “Oh the person I saw had too many people so they could not do it” or “we were told not to ask any questions”. So you ask me? WELL I had it! I wanted to stop but I felt bad because “people needed me”.
7. AT this time my 2nd son had 6 strokes and while sitting by his hospital bed he stated ‘Mom you have helped people with this all your life…..all MY life. You are sad alot, angry, you don’t like what you do. I want you to stop. You cant change people”. SO that was it. My son gave me permission to love myself more and care about people less. SO what happened.
8. I made the announcement of no more readings and what I got back was appalling! People calling me names, telling me I was being selfish….even one woman telling me that now she had lost her son all over again and that she hopes that I get to experience such a loss someday myself. THIS right after my son has his stokes. SO that was it!!……………..Now BREATHE…….

SO why are you doing readings again?

1. Believe it or not part of me misses it
2. I still feel people need a place to go if not for any other reason but to have the experience and learn they CAN do it for themselves
3. I miss the look on their face when they “get it” and they know their loved ones are with them.
4. I am older now and I believe even more that I am reponsible for what I allow and what I will not. (Thankyou Peggy).
5. My life has to mean something when it comes to this subject, I have spent most of my life studying, learning, teaching and living this and THIS is what I know I can do. My grandpa was correct. I was a crutch and many did not appreciate what I offered….but I CAN control the how, when, why and who I do it for …….now.
And I’m ready to help again. For a limited few, for the time I’m comfortable with and for the amount I feel my time is worth. I truly hope this explains everything. I still take questions so if you have any let me know. Namaste

I am taking this month to prepare for my NEW Podcast “The Sarcastic Psychic” set to air 4/16/2022. The Podcast will be filled with tons of information about the Afterlife, Reincarnation, Past life Regression, Angels, The Transition and so much more. I will have special quests and answer lots of your questions. Shared experiences are required!

This will be a thought provoking and fun discussion. All thoughts and opinions are welcome. I look forward to sharing with you. Watch this website and my fb page at Author Sydney Sherman for more information.

Also, this month will begin my in-person classes, seminars, consultations and session again. So very excited by this. If interested, please check out what I offer on my Event info page. Just scroll on past the library events, You’ll see them.

I also have begun providing courses to universities, colleges and Continuing education institutions, so that will keep me busy.

And lastly, I expect to be very busy in May, June, July and beyond, so mindful rest is in the plan as well.
